I am learning spanish because I am returning to South America and want to be able to speak the language and communicate at a good level. I do not know a word of Japanese other than a few different kinds of sushi! I'm going to Japan in July with the JET program, and i thought it would be a good idea to learn the basics of the language before I immersed myself in it.
I would like to dedicate about 6-8 hours/week to my language lessons, but I work full-time so depending on the teacher's availability I don't know if that will be possible.
I'm looking for a teacher who is outgoint, friendly and [atient and who can teach me about the culture of Japan as well as the language. I learn visually so I like written assignments and I love to talk and listen! I'd like lessons that are intensive enough that I can have a fair grasp of the language before I leave in 3 months.
