I lived in Taiwan for 3 years, and began study during the first six months of being there. In monthly chunks, I had a teacher come to my home once per week, and did some study via a book she had developed.
I want to continue studying, as I believe that it is an asset to have as many languages as possible.
I feel that I need the most help with my grammar and vocabulary improvement. I feel comfortable speaking, though, because I was 'forced' to every day.
I would like to dedicate about 5 hours per week to my studies.

I have a french language background, and I have studied spanish off and on via CDs and books for a few years. On my last vacation in December I have taken 4 days of one on one courses with Guatemalan teachers, and spent a few weeks traveling the country.

I am a beginner and wish to learn Spanish for professional development. I work in a non-profit organization that has recently entered into a partnership with a similar organization in Guatemala. I will be hosting young Mayans in the fall of this year before heading to Guatemala myself the following February. I would ideally like to speak enough Spanish to carry on a conversation and to do some interpreting for others. I am looking to dedicate 3-9 hours a week, depending on cost.
