I want to learn Punjabi for family reasons. I have married into a Punjabi family and have been studying the language on my own, however I do think I could progress faster with a dedicated teacher.
I would consider my proficiency level to be beginner. I have a basic understanding of the language after doing some self teaching courses online.
I mostly want to improve my confidence in conversation and grammar.
I would like to spend at least 3-4 days a week for 1 hour per lesson learning my new language.
The qualities I am looking for most in my teacher is that they would be comfortable teaching to a native English speaker, be able to teach to a beginner, and be able to assess my level of proficiency so as to teach me accordingly.

I wish to become fluent in cebuano as i spend 7 months every year in poro camotes and travel to cebu every 2 weeks for shopping. i consider myself to be a beginner and think it would be great to interact with every one i meet especially when downtown shopping. as i am retired from the military i can spend all day learning especially when back in canada.i have full internet at my poro house and in canada. ( the time difference is 13 hours behind philippines.
for a teacher requirement i would only ask that they teach that which is relevant to my daily activities.
