I am interested in learning Mandarin for personal and business reasons. I have traveled to SE Asia on five different occasions between 2005 and 2013, and plan on traveling to China, Singapore, and other Asian countries in the coming year. I did study some introductory Mandarin a few years ago, but with no opportunities to practice it I believe I will be starting as an absolute beginner. I want to learn how to read and write urdu because I do not know how to read and write urdu. I am fully fluent in urdu. I need improvement in my writing and reading of urdu. Hello. I would like to learn Croatian because I have just learned I have family in Croatia and I want to be able to communicate with them (verbally). I understand a little, but would be considered a beginner. I have a family and other responsibilit ies so I am not sure how much time I could devote, perhaps 4 or 5 hours a week. Ideally, my teacher would be funny, encouraging and supportive, but also tough.
