I wish to learn Japanese, because I am traveling there in a year or so. Not fluent, though that'd be nice of course, but enough to speak to another person without just barely getting across an idea.
I know some Japanese already, though again, it isn't really enough to maintain a flowing conversation.
The areas I'm most confused by would probably be grammar and basic speaking/writ ing structure. I'm familiar with some kana but not all of them. Not at all familiar with kanji.
I have a fair amount of time on my hands, so that won't be a problem.
I believe I have a very firm grasp on the English language myself, so if possible I'd like to learn from a teacher who could reciprocate that, from a Japanese perspective.

I visited Holland last year and had the best time. I have an old friend that lives there and would love to return and be able to speak the language. I would have to be taught as a beginer. I would love to learn both oral and written language of Dutch. I am free in the evenings to learn.

I learn Japanese due to my great interest in learning new languages and my dream is to study in Japan.
