Me and my boyfriend want to learn Norwegian because we have always been fascinated with Scandinavian culture and would love to be able to converse with people when we travel there this summer.
We both only have a basic understanding right now. (as in hello, goodbye, how are you etc.) so we are very beginner.
Ri ght now we'd like to focus on pronouncation and conversationa l Norwegian.
W e want to dedicate as much time as possible. We both go to school full time and have jobs but I think 1 or 2 sessions a week that last an hour is good.
The qualities we are looking for is bascially anyone who knows Norwegian! You don't have to have any teacher qualification s, we just want someone to meet in person because its so hard to find a Norwegian teacher in Calgary!

I'm learning Japanese for as a personal interest and because I am going to Japan next year for a Working Holiday. I studied Japanese at Mount Royal College and U of C for a number of years. However, It has been a number of years since then and I have forgotten much of the vocabulary though I have a good understanding of basic to intermediate grammar.
I would like to improve my listening comprehension as well as my conversationa l skills.
I would like to spend 1-2 hours either every week to 2 weeks until I leave (March 2010).
I would appreciate a teacher that has experience as a teacher and who can help me create a lesson plan to suite my needs.

I am very interested in eastern culture and languages. I would really like to persue longterm stay there, particularly Japan. I would say I am past very beginner, maybe early intermediate. I would like to learn Arabic as I am interested in working for a development consultancy in the Middle East and would therefore like to improve my Arabic skills.
I learned Arabic for three years during Middle School. I know how to read and write, however I have forgotten grammar rules and conversationa l skills and would like to brush up on these skills as it was many years ago that I learned Arabic.
I would like to dedicate at least two nights a week to learning Arabic.
I am looking for a teacher who is a native speaker in Arabic, and who focuses on grammar as well as conversation. I would like to have a teacher who is patient and interactive, and teaches me a wide variety of vocabulary and expressions.
