I am able to understand Hindi at a beginner to intermediate level but I would like to learn to read and write as well as converse proficiently. I have plans to move to Mumbai within 1.5 years and I would like to be able to function effectively while there. I must improve my conversationa l skills. Ideally I would like to dedicate 1 evening a week or possibly 2 (3-4h total). I would like to find a teacher with patience and humor, I find those qualities help me learn effectively.

I am wanting to learn Mandarin because i want to learn a second Language since i took mandarin for 3 years in high school i would like to learn more since i really liked it. I want to improve my French partly to give my brain more exercise, and partly for travel. My proficiency level is probably 'beginner', but I have had some courses in the past, and recently visited France for 3 weeks. It is mainly conversationa l French I am interested in. The time I would devote to my lessons would probably be no more than 2-3 hours weekly. I would be happy to be part of a small class where the conversation is with others as well as me. Qualities I am looking for in lessons or teacher? This might be easier to answer as the lessons / teacher are presented.
