I am still quite a beginner in Japanese. I have about a year of lessons under my belt (at Carleton University in Ottawa) and I am currently studying Art at Camosun. I have lost a lot of what I have learned but can still read hiragana and katakana fairly well (though slightly slower than I was able to last year) and with a quick revision I will easily catch up on the 200 or so kanji I have studied as well.
I am looking to study Japanese in the summer while I don't have other classes to worry about. Help! :D

I have never tried to learn spainish before, therefore, I am a beginner. The reason for wanting to start to learn now is because I have recently found my birth brothers after being adopted and they only spaek spanish. I will be visiting them this summer and will need to communicate with them. I am willing to dedicate as much time as I am able to as learning this language is very important. However, my work schedule is different from week to week. I will need a teacher that will be able to help me learn spanish when it is convenient to me. I understand this will be hard but as this is so important I will try my best to work around the teacher's schedule as well.
