I used to speak Hungarian as a child, and I still understand the gist of ideas when I hear it spoken (depending on the speed of speech), but I would like to get to be able to read quickly and speak eloquently (enrich my vocabulary, as most of the words I know are in diminutive form and are limited to the ones one uses as a child). Given my background, I think I can learn quickly.

I have visited China three time over the past year for business. I realize that it would be beneficial for me to have some basic skills in communicating in Mandarin, for business needs as well as for vacation.
Fo lowing my visits to China, I started to use lessons on compact disks but my progress is slow to date.
My current work requires me to travel frequently, approximately 25% or the time. Consequently, I would appreciate a teacher who has some flexibility in time, able to provide me with a schedule of possibly two sessions per week.
Idea lly, I would like to start by developing basic conversation skills.
