I am an East Indian male looking to learn Urdu. I have been exposed to the language (however not that often) and do understand a few basic words, but would still consider myself a beginner. I would like to learn this language because I think that one day my career may take me overseas. I would mostly like to learn conversationa l skills and plan to study up to 15 hours per week. I would appreciate it if I had a teacher that helped me learn using cue cards, word and image associations, and whatever other practices they know have proven to be effective with other students.

I have completed a German 100 level course at the University of Toronto, however I have spoken a word of it since the class ended in April of 2008.
I am learning German because I feel that as a musician having several working languages will only benefit me.
My goal is to become conversationa l and be able to read a newspaper.
I am looking for a tutor to meet with on a weekly basis.
Teach er qualities that work best with me are a patient, yet incredibly stern teacher who won't tolerate laziness.
