I have a strong desire to communicate in Spanish. While I know a few basic greetings and question phrases, I feel that living in Miami would be a more enjoyable experience if I could communicate more fluently in Spanish.
U nderstanding the grammar of a language is important to me. It is difficult for me to learn by simply memorizing and repeating words.
I definitely want to speak Spanish. But it is more of a priority for me to understand spoken and written Spanish -- in other words, to be able to hear and read effectively.
I can dedicate two visits per week toward Spanish study. I prefer a teacher to come to my home on Miami Beach, but can consider meeting elsewhere, if the distance is not too far.

I am a college student in the Miami area and feel that by learning another language my social skills will improve as well as my career clientel. I am often mistaken for a woman of Spanish or Dominican descent. Learning another language is something that I have always wanted to do. I would like to meet a few days a week or on the weekends.
