Hello, my name is Laurie. I am looking to learn MAIN LAND Portuguese not Brazilian if possible. Portuguese was my first language until I was 5, but I have forgotten most of it now. I would like my husband and I to be able to converse with my portuguese family. More than anything I would like to learn to speak the language, learning to write the language is not as important to me. My husband is canadian and has no portuguese background at all. We would probably take these lessons together and continue to speak the language at home with our children. If you can help please let me know.

Hello, my name is Karen Metzger. I am interesting in doing some volunteer work in Brazil and I am very interested in learning Portuguese. I am at a beginner level and need improvement in grammar and conversation. I live outside of the Calgary city limits but I am able to drive in once or twice per week. Would be interesting in trying lessons via video conference, for example using Skype.
