I took French for eight years but you wouldn't know it! I would like to become proficient in speaking, listening, and writing French. I would start to like working overseas and am eager to retrieve my French and then continue on to other languagues. I ususally need immersion to learn.
As for teaching, I'm willing to work hard, but I work full time and make a modest salary so I can only do what's affordable. I would like to have a session once/week or once/2 weeks depending on cost. French conversation groups would be great as long as they're unconditional !!!
I am looking for a teacher that will teach me to function competently in a situation where only french is spoken. I want to be able to survive in a professional situation.
If I could eventually translate...t hat would be even better.

Hi, my name is Brittany. I'm a student at N.C.State, I am taking 2 french courses over the summer to graduate in the fall and am in desperate need of some tutoring. It has been about 5 years since I've taken any foreign language, and I'm afraid with the fast pace of these classes I'm going to fall behind. I would like private sessions and need to work on every almost every area. I will probably dedicate an extra couple hours of studying a day in addition to the hour and a half class at school. My 8 year-old son would like to learn French. I'm looking for a teacher for him. He's a beginner. I would say he could dedicate 3-4 hours a weeks. He was enrolled in Karate, but he decided that he want to learn to speak French instead. I guess I would like someone the would have enough patience to teach an 8 year-old.

I am interested in learing French for both pleasure and for self improvement. I have tried to teach myself in the past with little success. While I do know some basic words and phrases, I am definitely still a begninner. I am looking for a teacher that I can have live interaction with. I learn best when I am able to practice and ask questions. I would be interested in dedicating a few hours a week to my language lessons. I am looking for a patient teacher, who can teach me good speaking skills.
