My wife and I will be going to France on a vacation in January 2008. I have been to France twice before. I learned some very basic phrases such as greetings. I would like to learn more so that I can better order at restuarants, communicate with hotel staff and to have some conversations with French people that we meet. My wife is busy studying and won't be able to take lessons with me.

I studied French for 3 years from 1999-2002. I would like to refresh my previous knowledge and continue my studies. My strengths were grammar and reading. My goal is to become fluent in French. I was previous at the intermediate level. I need a teacher that is available 1-2 evenings a week for private lessons. I would prefer a female teacher with previous experience teaching adults. I am also interested in learning Arabic.

I studied some french in college but was not able to devote enough time to be fluent. I want to learn french because Because I did enjoy the french I did study, and when I go back to France I would like to communicate on my own. I remember some but I would consider myself elementary, but I still remember some. I am able to devote a few hours a week in studying and practicing my french.
The qualities I am looking for in my teacher is enthusiasm and patience. Now in my lessons I would be looking for good productivity with meaningful assignments and practice.
