My proficiency level is, beginner - intermediate. I have studied for years, however, my grammar and conversation skills are lacking. I would say that I have an intermediate level of skill from book learning, but beginner level skill of actual conversation. .....I have never had the luxury of being able to 'converse' more than once or twice monthly, thus my conversation skills are limited.
I am learning French because I hope to one day visit France, and I have always enjoyed the French culture.
I woiuld like to dedicate 10+ hours per week to my lessons (study and instructions) and would like to be able to spend 2+ hours per week in conversation, either in person, by phone, or on-line.
T he qualities I would like to see in a language teacher, is the ability to teach the language as it is currently being spoken in France, and also to have 'fun' with the lessons/teach ing.

As a junior in high school, I am currently in my fifth year of Latin studies while also having had some instruction in Spanish. While looking for a potential major in multiple romance languages in college, I would like to have a solid background in French and am seeking an intensive beginner's program that would allow me to place into a higher level course in the next school year. The most suitable classes would be for several hours each week on Saturdays or Sundays.

I have had one semester of French (many years ago) and can remember some words and pronunciation . I would like to use this for travel and possible career advancement.
I am a visual and kinesthetic learner. I would like some basics (phonetics, alphabet, etc) to fill in the blanks of my learning.
I am flexible to timing. I do travel for work, so my schedule varies from week to week.
My teacher should be able to adjust to my speed. I will need someone who can go faster when I get it, and slow down for me when I don't. Since my learning has been piecey, there may be things to skip and things that need additional time.
