I am actually a parent of a three and a half year old. I would like to have my child exposed to foreign languages at as early an age as possible. I am looking for someone who would be willing, and preferably experienced, in working with children. If possible, I would like to have someone who is available 3 - 4 days per wk, for an hour so each day. I would be willing to have him tutored in my home or yours. Beginner/Inter mediate. I lived in Costa Rica for 3 months about 2 years ago. I want to learn spanish because I am in the health care feild and I want to be able to translate for myself. I am a nurse who has studied medical Spanish for the past year. I just returned from an immersion program in Guatemala, and I'm interested in keeping up the skill. I would say I am at the intermediate level, with good comprehension but more difficulty speaking. I would like to meet for about two hours per week, practicing speaking and listening. I would be happy to do homework the other days. I am also interested in mock patient-nurse interactions so I can learn to speak more fluently with patients.

I have taken a total of 3 beginners classes, in and out of college. It has been over two years since my last class. I have a deep interest in learning Spanish because I meet native spanish speakers everyday, and regrete not being able to converse with those people. I also have a great love for the places I have traveled to where the spanish language is spoken. I would like to work on my conversation skills, verbs, and vocabulary in general. I am looking for a teacher who has flexiable hours, is fun, and who will help me to apply spanish everyday of my life.
