I am currently a graduate student studying to become a Speech Language Pathologist. I am very interested in working with the hearing impaired and find it essential to have a background in Sign Language. With my class and clinic schedule a tutor a couple days a week would best fit. I have never had any experience with Sign Language but I am extremely interested in learning the language.

I am at the Intermediate Level of Dutch reason for learning is my husband is Dutch, and I have always had an interest in foreign languages.
A t present we are here on work permit & I am a house wife I do have lots of free time & would like to invest it in learning Sign Language which in due time I will be able to apply those skills that I have learned into working & helping the deaf & dumb. I am a people person & love communicating .
I dont have a special qualities that I will look for in a teacher just someone honest & dedicated to teaching. I also think that the experience will speak for itself.

I am brand new to ASL. I have a nephew born deaf and I would like to be able to communicate with him with some hopes of applying that knowledge to a carreer as a translator/in terpreter. I am 33 yrs. old and have wanted to learn a second language proficiently for a long time.
I am on a tight budget as of now and don't know if student loans would be applicable to this course of study. I am certainly willing to relocate to study. PA is a place I'd like to see so that is why I choose to respond to this site.

I am interested in studying 3 languages:
1) Amharic- I lived in Ethiopia for a year (2003-2004) and studied some Amharic. Now I have forgotten much of it and would like someone to practice with, recall things that I once knew, and learn new things.
2) American Sign Language- I have taken 2 classes in ASL, know some vocabulary, but I have very, very limited ability to communicte. I would very much like to take a class that focused on communicating .
3) Spanish- I am a beginner.
