i was born in Taiwan - and had basic reading/writi ng lessons from a young age in New Zealand.
I do not speak, read or write Chinese-Manda rin unless I go home to see my parents in Auckland.
I am looking for very specific lessons in Taiwanese-Chi nese with reading/writi ng/speaking lessons. I do not want to learn the abbreviated characters (Chinese abbreviated characters) - I wish to learn the full characters please.
I have the fundamentals of the language - but am very happy to start from scratch in case there are pockets of missing information along the lines.

My five year old son has expressed an interest in learning manderin. I thought it would be fun to learn as a family. We are all at a beginners level.
I was just looking for one session per week for an hour.
I would like someone who is friendly, patient, enjoys what they do and who does not mind working with young children.
Depending on how this goes we might look at French or spanish as well.

I want to have some private Mandarin lessons as I have studied it for a long time previously and I don't want to go backwards in my learning.
I speak/listen at about an intermediate level and feel that brushing up on my grammar and fixing up my vocab would be helpful. I want to spend about an hour or two hours a week on my chinese. My teacher must be patient and willing to go at my speed.

Hi Lucy,
Are you teaching any lessons to groups of students at present?
I 'm looking to learn Chinese Mandarin at a beginner level and just wanted to gage an idea of what was on offer and how much lessons would cost.
I just want to learn the basics- mainly conversationa l I guess- as I am looking at moving over to China within the next year.
I'm willing to dedicate a fair amount of time to the lessons- it's hard to put an exact estimate on things as it would depend on how long it took me to learn the basics!
Qu alities that I'm looking for would be patience, reasonable teaching skills and reasonable English as I know absolutely no Mandarin.
