I am learning Korean out of interest in the culture and to prepare for a trip to Seoul next year. I am a beginner using courses like the Rosetta Stone and have only been studying for 4 months. I run a jewelry start-up (Bird & Stone) that funds microloans in Kenya with our profits. I just quit my corporate job to run this full-time so my budget may not allow me to go to classroom lessons in Manhattan.
My goal is to become proficient in Swahili over 2015 and learn: tenses, grammatical structure, and relevant vocabulary (business, agriculture, cities, etc) so I can speak with the locals instead of getting a translator.
