I have not studied Japanese before but have always wanted to learn.
I am interested in learning Japanese as I am very fond of the culture. I also love to watch anime and read manga. I have been to Japan before and since I am going again, I would like to learn how to speak, read and write Japanese. This way, I can enjoy being in Japan a bit more than I did last time (when I didn't understand what people were saying).
I have tried to learn Japanese myself but I found it a little difficult as I couldn't find an effective way to revise what I was learning (so I found that I was forgetting things).
I would like to spend an hour a week at first since this is a busy year for me but if i find that I need more time, I will definately spend more time on it.
A great teacher would have to be patient and understanding . I'm quiet shy when it comes to learning a new language especially when it comes to speaking. I would like the teacher to give me notes, and probably set homework so I dedicate myself to learn and keep improving myself. Perhaps hold some tests every now and then to see how I'm going.
