Ïðèâåò - I am a 29 year-old woman with an unexplainable need to learn Russian. I would like to learn more with a view to becoming an Interpreter sometime in the future - either here in Australia, or in Russia.
I am a beginner, but I have a good knowledge of the Russian alphabet, it's pronunciation s and phonetics, and I am able to read a little basic Russian, but am not able to translate it yet. I can also count - having taught myself the rules with regards to the suffixes of the numbers after 10.
I need improvement in ALL areas - my knowledge is good, but it is very basic, and probably unusable in a Russian conversation. Also - I would love to be taught as much colloquial Russian as anyone can possibly provide me with!
I would like to meet with a tutor at least two times a week, for a one or two hour session each time. Also, I am prepared to dedicate a great deal of time to ANY homework or personal study I am instructed to do.
I need someone who is patient, and someone who can teach me at a pace that is right for my learning. I need somebody who is proficient, and someone who can deal with all of my many questions.
Please, help me to learn the Russian language! I am a veritable sponge and I want to learn so much!

I am a British company director living in the Algarve and learnig Portuguese. I am coming to Perth for five weeks from the end of December and would like to continue to develop my Portuguese. I am largely self taught (currently doing Michel Thomas advanced CD course) and use my Portuguese daily. I would estimate I am at lower intermediate level. I WOULD BASICALLY WOULD WANT TO START FROM THE START,SUCH AS I WILL NEED HELP IN SPELLING.GRAM MAR,CONVERSATI ON ETC. AS I WOULD LIKE TO GET A GOOD SCORE FOR THIS SUBJECT AS IT COULD GO TOWARDS MY ENTER SCORE. THE QUALITIES I AM LOOKING IN A TEACHER IS ONE THAT IS ENGAGING AS WELL AS VERY STRICT AND COMMITTED. THE TIME I WOULD LIKE TO SPEND WOULD BE ALOT DURING THESE HOLIDAIIS. WHICH ARE NOW UNTIL THE FIRST OF FEBURARY WHICH WEHN WE START SCHOOL AGAIN.
