Hello,
I want to improve my Spanish. I would say that I am a low advanced level learner as I majored in the language in college. My listening has always been my weakest point, and I spent a long time away from the language. I want to learn modern vocabulary and slang and to ask questions about grammar.
I'm looking for about one lesson a week for an hour in the evening. I live in the Wicker Park/Humboldt Park part of Chicago and can travel as long as it's not too far. I am looking for an instructor who can challenge me in all areas of language--I'm not just looking for conversationa l Spanish although I definitely want to improve that as well.

I have taken Spanish in high school and college, grew up with a Mexican American father who spoke Spanish but did not teach me the language. I want to learn for myself and this would help with communicating with relatives, travel and my work in the library. I think the thing I need is better vocabulary and retention of the words. Definitely practice. I am looking for a teacher with a lot of patience and not judgmental

I am an absolute beginner. I want to learn the language to enhance the quality of my travel experiences and provide basic rapport with clients. I would like to work on conversation.
I prefer interact lessons with regular homework. I travel a lot so I would appreciate a teacher with a flexible schedule who is willing to work with me one on one. I can dedicate 1-2 hours per week to in person meetings.
