I have a good friend who I met in New York and who is Pakistani and lives in Pakistan. I visited with my friend in Pakistan for one month in 2008 and had a great time. I enjoy the people and the culture very much and I wish to return to Pakistan and this time, to speak Urdu. I do not understand, read or speak the language, except for a few words. When I was ther in 2008, most of the people I met accommodated me and spoke English. This time I would like to speak to them in their own language. I don't want to learn to read the alphabet. I can read transliterati ons of the words.
I would like to take a conversation class in New York, and I prefer Brooklyn. I like to interact face to face. I can take a class once a week, and the time of day is flexible. I want to learn rules of grammar, sentence structure and pronunciation in a relaxed environment, but serious.

I am learning Mandarin so that I can communicate better with my in-laws who are Chinese and others who are Chinese in the world.
I think right now I am intermediate level.
I need improvement in vocabulary and how to use new words correctly in a sentence.
3 hours a week
I want the lessons to be interactive, fun, method that will help me to remember easily, I learn better with visual aids. I also would like my teacher to be fun, lively and encouraging.
