I was born and raised in Mississauga, Canada.
Both of my parents however were born in Cyprus, so they both speak fluently turkish.
The reason i would like to learn more turkish and correct the way my speech is, is because i find it hard to properly purnounce words, or i forget how to say something, and it ruins my whole sentence. My boyfriends family, and a couple of my friends are from Turkey and Cyprus and although the cypriot turkish is a bit more slang than the turkish from turkey, they can all still speak fluently to eachother.

I want to learn Japanese because I will probably be studying there as an international student starting at the fall semester of 2010
My proficiency is little to none. I have a small foundation of the language from when I took some lessons in high school, but I have forgotten much of it.
I would like to dedicate one lesson a week, with homework of course.
I am looking for fun lively qualities. Someone who is fun to work with but is also challenging, and doesn't let me slack off too much.

French was my native language until grade 3. I was switched to English school and over the years forgot all my french. Would like to have a second language and it is beneficial to have in my career.
My area of interest would be conversation mainly. For some reason I am still able to read french at a basic level but it's not a major requirement for me.
I am a shift worker that works 12 hour shifts 2 days, 2 nights then 4 days off. During my 4 days off I would like to take classes at least on one day possibly two days.

I am learning spanish so that I can move to Latin America and work in the micro-finance industry.
10 years ago I spent 1 month in Costa Rica learning spanish, however, since then I have not had many opportunites to continue to practice.
I need to focus primarily on conversation and grammar.
