I am a doctoral candidate in English Literature. I completed one year of Latin at the university level and I wish to continue my studies. I am unable to take the second year Latin course because of time constraints. I am willing to put in about five hours a week. My interest is in developing my reading skills so that I can deal with Latin as it occurs in the Medieval/Rena issance texts I am studying for my dissertation. As a long-time teacher myself, I am looking for an experienced pedagogue and Latin scholar who is both creative and resilient. I have completed the study of the grammar: I now need effective strategies for reading more fluently.I hope to study Intermediate Latin next year at the university, but I need to keep up my skills.
