My family is of Irish descent and I have always had a desire to learn the Irish gaelic language. No one in my family understands the language, and unfortunately for me, the closest community college or university that offers such a program is several hours away.
I would love to learn to read, write and speak the language if this is possible through a long-distance program.
Be clear that I have absolutely NO present knowledge of the language at all. So I would be deemed a 'beginner' at all levels.
In terms of time I would be willing to dedicate to the lessons, I believe an hour or two/day I could happily devote to it.
The teacher would have to be somewhat patient perhaps, as it has been a year or two (or 3....) since I've been to school. That being said, I am very enthusiastic about learning and I hope I would not be too difficult a student.

at present I am Landed immigrant in canada, ever since i came here 3 years ago I was working and studying. I had no need for the university english accreditation until now.
several weeks ago i have decided to continue my architectural education at UBC or Ryerson, therefore i will have to demonstrate expert knowledge of the language, exept for that I have got full accreditation in every discipline required (taken from my official russian transcript)
I am interested in taking English speech and writing classes and TOEFL classes(or similar) I need to perfect my grammar, build and be able to use my vocabulary.
My current schedule does not allow me to take day time classes, therefore i am looking for either nightschool or online classes.
