I am at a beginner's level of arabic, and only know basic conversation and written material. I plan on moving to Egypt for a year or more for career advancements, and feel as though knowing Arabic would help the transition. I would like to put emphasize on conversationa l arabic, but do feel it necessary to understand the grammar of the language. I am looking for someone who can help me retain arabic, someone to practice with, and someone who can help me to think in that language. Mostly, I just need guidelines to the structure of the language, and how to put the pieces together.

Hi, I'm currently working in Beijing with the national speedskating team. My work term will be ending this month and I will be in calgary for 4 monthes, then I will return. I need Mandarin to effectively communicate with my skaters. I'm a beginner-inte rmiediate. My biggest trouble is listening skills. My speaking is limited but not too bad. I'm willing to work with a tutor 2x per week or 3x per week depending on cost and availablity. I'm looking for a teacher that can give me the words and sentence patterns that I need to do my job. I want a teacher that gives me homework. I want a teacher who is well prepared and has a general plan for me to reach my goals. My goals are to be able to understand what I hear and speak well enough to be understood. I dont believe in being perfect in speaking...th at will come with time. I also like having fun as well!

I have just begun to learn the Spanish language recently. I have a very close friend from Spain that I spent the past month with this summer. I am interested in learning Spanish because I am a teacher myself and have many ESL students that are Spanish in my school. I would like to incorporate both languages within the classroom. I also am looking in to moving to Spain in one years time. I would like to teach English over there if possible, but feel I better speak and write in Spainsh quite well before I am able to do this. I am looking to dedicate a few hours a week to learning the Spanish language. I am looking for a teacher that is orgainzed and teaches with a variety of methods (i.e. audio, visual, written) I would prefer the teacher to speak as much Spanish as possible during the lesson as well.
