I.m interested in learning Cantonese alone or maybe even with my step daughter. My common-law is chinese and his family speak cantonese fluently, at family gatherings. I would like to be able to talk to his mother and father, and since they only understand cantonense its very hard to communicate with them. We will also be going on a trip in the next 5 years to his homeland in saigon so it would be nice to understand the language before I go. Beginner Level

I have taken some Spanish lessons at home using computer based training course - I have found this very useful, and know quite a few words - however, I have trouble understanding whole sentences and gettign to grips with the male/female and tenses.
I am looking to improve my listening, understanding and verbal skills. I am not concerned about being able to read/write in Spanish too much.
I am marrying my Fiancee this year, who is origianlly from Colombia. She has perfect English, but I want to learn Spanish for when I visit her family etc.
Intia lly I'm looking for one hour per week study, with homework. I want it to be fun and easy to learn where possible.

I would like to learn Mandarin at the beginner level. I'm working full time so I'd normally have the evenings or weekends available for lessons.
