I am a beginner looking to learn the Italian language.
I want to learn Italian because my father is Italian and I'd like to learn the language and the culture of where my father was brought up from.
I'm thinking about travelling to Italy in the summer and would like to know the basics of Italian and how to carry on a good conversation before the summer begins.

I have lived in Spain for five years when I was younger which helped me to pick up the tongue for the language. I took spanish through junior High and High School adn have not used it much until March of last year when I was hired to live and work in Spain. I am currently in Winnipeg until December/Janu ary time period. Although I can 'get by' while living in Spain, I see myself having an issue in the workplace because I am not as proficient as I would like to be. I would dedicate whatever it would take for me to feel more comfortable having a conversation in Spanish. I am looking for someone who can teach me after 1600 during the work week but I could be flexible with that if needed.
