I will be working an internship in Germany beginning in May, 2009. Although it is not a requirement of my position, I would like to arrive with some basic knowledge of the the native language.
For all practical purposes I have no experience with German.
I will be returning to Edmonton for the period from January to April, 2009. I am looking for language lessons to complement by usual studies at the University of Alberta.
I n the short term I am interested in getting a grasp of the spoken language. I hope this will give me a good starting place when I arrive in Germany and begin a more formal language course.

Currently I am moderately fluent in Punjabi. That is, I can understand most of it, and I can carry on a conversation. However, I would not categorize myself as fluent. My reading skills are basic, while my writing skills non-existent. For the most part,I am looking to expand my vocabulary, improve my sentence structure, and be able to carry on lengthier conversations without having to revert to English. I also require assistance with masculine and feminine forms.
