I am currently a beginner in speaking mandarin. i am learning the language because i find not just the language but the culture fascinating. I am currently in school and have many chinese students in my class that can only communicate in mandarin, it would make me happy to be able to discuss thing with them without having a translator nearby. I feel i can dedicate a good portion of my time to studying the language, i am very flexible. I am looking for a teacher that can teach me the ins and outs of this language, maybe even some of its culture.

heyy, I'm kasey and I've been learning Korean for about a year now... but there aren't any Korean classes or tutors in my city so I've been teaching myself. I think I'm probably at beginner level, maybe a bit higher. I'm learning it because I really love Korea and I love learning languages as well. Hi! My name is Chelsea and I am a 24 year old student. I am currently in my third year of studying social work and feel that being fluent in Spanish would allow me greater career opportunity. I also love travel and would love to be able to communicate more clearly in Latin American countries. My boyfriend would also like to learn Spanish for similar reasons, so we would be interested in taking lessons together. I would currently consider myself to be a beginner. I recently returned from 3 months of backpacking in South America and was speaking Spanish fairly well however I have never studied proper grammar, sentence structure, etc. I am willing to donate a great amount of time to learning Spanish. I would like to find a teacher who can connect me with resources such as film and music to incorporate the language into my life. I am looking for a teacher who is enthusiastic and patient. It is also important that lessons be cost efficient as I am a student.

I am a beginner. I want to be able to volunteer/int erpret for almost anyone. If possible, I'd like to do volunteer hours for payment of course. I know there was a place in Calgary that used to do that and I was hoping there was a place in Edmonton.
I am very anxious to get started as I work from September til April 30th. I would like to be able to fit my schedules together and begin the language course before then.
