I am a beginner at Japanese, I do know mostly hirigana.
I' ve always wanted to learn Japanese but never fully acted on it because I fear self-teaching will only leave me with a poor understanding of proper speech, I also think think having a knowledge of a second language would be a useful life and career skill, and thirdly I would like to learn as much as I can before I work-holiday in Japan in about 6+ months.
I don't know any Japanese so I don't think I have an area I need to improve yet, I am also looking to learn many Kanjis before my trip as I would like to at least be able to read some things.
Between work and school I'm willing to dedicate as much time as you can provide, my wallet can provide and my mind can take.
Caring and patient since I'm a klutz, As much care as possible in making sure I won't be just hearing What? over and over when I try and speak in Japan, and able to provide me with enough work as I need.

I have been teaching myself Korean for a while now but feel frustrated that I'm not doing too well with the language. I am definitely an 'advanced' beginner and can pick up things quickly. I would love to learn more about grammar and conversation. I would love to learn this language because I am fascinated by the country and people. I am willing to dedicate 2 hours every day to learn and improve my language if it were possible. I'm looking for a teacher who is observant, quick and understanding . I'd love to be able to converse on a proficient and near native level.

Started a beginners class in Mandarin. Unfortunately teacher had to leave for China. We were 2 and were having private lessons - meeting in downtown montreal.
Would like to learn to converse easily if traveling to China and also would like to learn how to write. We can give 3-4 hrs per week.
