I want to learn Japanese to be able to learn and understand some of the culture and customs of Japan
I do not know anything about Japanese
I am hoping to Japanese language school, and they require me to know hiragana and katakana to start the school in May.
I would like to have the basics to get around in Japan as I learn the hiragana and katakana for the school.
I would like to dedicate the time in that short time spanned to have the hiragana and katakana knowledge, and be able to function to some degree in getting around.
I am leaving New Zealand on 17 April 2016. I am scheduled to be in Fukuoka on 7 of May.

Im learning Japanese because of personal interest in Japan, including its culture, history, music, food, and its language.
I am a beginner but i have had Japanese classes at school for about a year and a half. I can read Hiragana, Katakana, and im still learning new Kanji.
I want to improve my conversation skills.
I want to dedicate as much time as i can to learning Japanese.
