Hello there, I am a young student looking to learn more. I am able to speak beginner level Japanese, Mandarin, and Korean. I am also literate in Korean(Hangul ). I am looking to enhance my language reservoir in order to achieve my future career goals. I am mostly looking to enhance my conversationa l skills in all of these languages but, am more than willing to improve my reading/writi ng skills. I am looking to spend 1-4 hours a week with these language lessons, and I am looking for a relaxed teacher that is flexible with their schedule.

My name is Phil Burness, and I am a student in Ottawa. I'm very interested in learning Mandarin Chinese and Japanese as I am very interested in the cultures of China and Japan. However, I am a complete beginner in both of these languages so I will be starting with no previous experience. I would like to have regular weekly lessons, if possible, and am completely willing to put a lot of effort into learning these languages. I would like to start out with the spoken language and then move onto the written, but I will be glad to learn whatever the teacher has to offer.

I am an extreme beginner with a strong desire to learn Japanese. I am a student of the martial arts and hope to go and train in Japan. I want to grasp a firm understanding of conversationa l Japanese as well as a basic understanding of reading. I want to be able to dedicate up to three hours a week if possible. My long term goal is to go and stay in a small village in Japan and myself surround myself with the language. Unfortunately I do not have a lot of money but I am a trained carpenter and involved with several artist institutions. I am hoping we can find something to trade. New bathroom installed, new cabinets, studio space, etc.
