I am half Japanese half German although I did not learn very much Japanese when I was younger. I was in the JET program after college and taught myself Japanese to conversationa l level, but I have not used it much recently and I would like improve it. I also would like to expand my Japanese so that I can use it professionall y. Listening is my strongest area, speaking next, reading/writi ng are weak and areas that I need considerable work in. I would like to meet weekly on Saturdays or Sundays.

I have been learning japanese for almost a year now. I have been getting privately tutored. Ive just recently passed 102 level but sadly my nihongo no sensei will be to busy to teach me the summer. I have not done a good job with kanji though :(

I first became interested in learning Japanese over 20 years ago and studied it for a bit, but did not keep up with lessons at that time. A couple of years ago, I decided to start the process again.
I have taken 4 semesters of Japanese at a local community college using the Genki books. It was a lot of information to take in and I don't feel that I fully mastered all of the grammar from these books. Also, my listening and speaking skills are weak. I want to strengthen my skills in these areas as well as reinforce the grammar I have learned so far.
I would like to take one lesson a week and am willing to do homework.
I am looking for a teacher who is patient but also will correct me when I make mistakes.
