I am a beginner with little vocab knowledge. My boyfriend and family speak Portuguese but its been difficult without structure in my learning. I want to be able to communicate with ease with his family they have to speak english for me so I should be able to speak Portuguese for them. We plan to go to Brazil next year so I can meet the rest of his family and I don't want to burden him as being my interpreter.

I speak portuguese fairly well, and have basic to intermediate reading and writting skills. I plan to take the Celpe-Bras exam in October 2007. It is an exam for portuguese proficiency to prove that I can study in this language at a University level. I need to pass this exam to beable to apply for a masters degree program in Brazil. In order to pass the exam and do well when studying in portuguese at a Brazilian University, I need mainly to improve my grammer, writting, and comprehension skills. I need to beable to respond and speak about questions related to texts I have read and topics related to culture, politics and literature. I would like to dedicate atleast 6hrs per week or more to portuguese lessons. Of course, I would study much more outside of class. I am looking for a teacher who is fluent in the language and can teach me how to speak read and write at an advanced university level of portuguese.

I am a beginner, have never taken portuguese before. I need to learn everything! I am going to Brazil in January and want a base befor I arrive. I would like to have a class perhaps once or twice a week. I need a teacher who is patient and fun! I also am interested in taking classes with 2 friends.
