Hello,
I'm looking to begin study in Mandarin Chinese. This is a personal interest of mine and I have no prior education on the subject. I'm interested in reading & writing, including the character system. I can meet for an hour or two once a week or biweekly what ever is convenient. I'm looking for a teacher who is good with beginners and can develop a solid lesson plan to fit my learning speed & style. I'm college educated and used to learning in that format but I don't mind stepping outside of the traditional learning model to try something new. Thank you for your time.

I've always wanted to learn Mandarin Chinese.I think it's a beautiful language.I am absolutely a beginner.I only know 2 or 3 words.It has always appealed to me.I would have to start at the absolute bottom.No sure about how much time i would spin.I guess,where I can reach a Novice level of speaking Mandarin would be satisfactory for now.I am willing to put forth the time needed to accomplish that.Looking for someone who is knowledgeable and has mastered the language.To teach me the intricate workings.Also a person not to far from where I am.Would be a plus.

Good afternoon,
My name is Paul and my family and I are looking for Chinese language tutoring / classes. Both my wife and I have several years of other languages under our belt. My 14 year old step daughter just completed her first year of Chinese in the 8th grade and will be continuing during her high school years.
Our family is looking to work in either a long term or semi-permanen t basis in China in the not so distant future. Potentially I could teach English or a myriad of computer related subjects while abroad.
We currently work alongside an organization called International Friends, who provide airport transportatio n, short term housing and conversationa l events for incoming international students. We've housed several Chinese students this year already and are excited about taking our next steps in trying to communicate natively with students.
We would like to know your teaching style, organizationa l methods and how you provide lessons. We've looked at institutions like Berlitz and believe they have a proven system, but their prices are extraordinary . Plus, helping out the local students and neighbors in Cleveland economically is a plus.

I am visiting China in July 2013, and would love to learn conversationa l Chinese. I speak a little Spanish and Russian and generally do well in language studies. I would like at least 2 lessons a month. I am looking for a kind teacher with patience, but who will make sure that what I do learn is pronounced correctly.
