I know a little Japanese from visiting friends in Japan but I have never had a teacher. I can read hiragana, katakana, and a few kanji.
My company opened a game studio in tokyo this year that I would like to eventually work at, so focusing on pronunciation and grammar would be helpful. Also, I visit friends 2 times a year in Tokyo and sometimes DJ there, so improving my conversation would really help me.
I am available to meet most weekday nights and weekends, but I can try to meet at other times if its more convenient for the teacher.
I n a teacher, I am looking for someone who is fun to work with but who expects me to work hard and isn't afraid to tell me when I am doing something wrong.

I have taken japanese in college. I have always been interested in the culture as well as the language. I am still a beginner and have been out of practice for few years. My desire to teach and my love of japanese has lead me to obtain my TESL certification starting in September. I think I need all areas of improvement, but mainly I would like to improve on the converstion area. I would also like to learn some basic kanji. I am very dedicated and recently started to study from my japanese textbooks almost everyday. Worksheets, recommended videos and or other material would be great source for me to learn.
