I, myself, would say that I am a beginner. I have lots of books and computer programs to help self-teach myself, but I tend to slack off with no one around to help me.
I know my Hiragana and Katakana, and I can read it without stumbling through it so much, but I only know about 5 kanji characters.
I want to learn Japanese because I wish to visit Japan, maybe start my art career there.
I want to learn basic sentence structures and slang. And just more everyday vocabulary I can use.
I have a lot of free time, so I can dedicate a lot of my time to my teacher(s).
I'm looking for someone who will teach me basic sentence structures, grammar, and little facts about Japan that I might not know, especially about the language.

I will be a beginner in the languages that I have selected above. I would like to learn them now so that once I graduate from the seminary I am attending I will be fluent enough to participate on missions. I feel that I need improvement in all languages being that I have never studied them before outside of my own personal studies. I would like to dedicate two-three hours per day to learning these languages. The quality I am looking for in a teacher is passion. A passion for learning, a passion for teaching, a passion for art.

I am currently a student at Full Sail. For those who do not know Full Sail and their scheduling techniques, I will heed the warning that times must be flexible to their scheduling, which i do not recieve untill the first day of classes for the month. Outside of that, I am very intrested in learning Japanese, and I already listen to artists such as ayumi hamasaki, utada hikaru, and namie amuro. I want to learn Japanese mainly for myself, but also to be able to use a culture aspect in my creations of Digital Media (my concentration at FS). I would love to have classes once or twice a week, so I can have my main focus on FS while being able to balance this new language.

Hello
My name is Chad. I am a beginner in Japanese. I have always been fascinated with other languages. I have taken lessons in 3 different languages (Spanish, Japanese and Chinese Mandarin) in the past 8 years. I have chosen to take Japanese over because I did not get as far as I wanted or need to. The teacher I had was blessed and found out she was pregnant. I it did not get past a certain point of comfort with the language. I lost most of what I learned. I am looking for a nice person who his time to teach in the evenings. I have set aside 3 hours a day to study Japanese. My mom is a schoolteacher and has always to me to listen carefully, study and do homework. I think that will be my strength in learning Japanese.
