Hi! I'm going to be a junior in high school and I'm learning Japanese because I'd like to go to Japan to study abroad, minor in Japanese in college, and possibly live there when I'm older. I am a beginner, but I know how to have a basic conversation and know how to read and write Hiragana and Katakana. I would like to spend an hour for the first couple language lessons. Qualities I'm looking for in the lessons would be to be able to read and speak fluently. Qualities I'm looking for in a teacher would be patient and understanding . I hope we can meet! My nephew Terrell is looking to continue his Japanese language education. He has taken 2 years with a private tutor who is a native Japanese speaker.
He is really interested in the lanaguage as well as the culture. Our grandmother is Japanese and has lived in the U.S. most of her life and does not feel adequate to teach him.
He would like to have one lesson a week for an hour if available. He can meet some where close to home or in home. We live in Worthington/D ublin area.
Looking for a reliable teacher who can work well with students.

I want to learn Japanese language and culture because I am interested in the culture, and hope one day to go there and preach about my religion. I am a beginner, I don't know anything about the language, except for a few words. I want to learn writing, grammer, and conversation. For now I want to dedicate about two hours to meet with a tutor, and an hour everyday by myself to study. Time may change when I realize what amount is best for me. I want a tutor that is patient and understanding , and of course has teaching skills that appeal to me and are easy to learn from.
