I am currently a beginner in Japanese, taking my school's elective as a class. I began to learn the language because of my interest in Japanese culture and media. Currently, I think I need help in my conversationa l skill and I am willing to put up to 3 hours towards learning the language.
A language teacher should be willing to engage in conversations with their student and that the language that is being taught shoukd be native to the teacher.
I also wish to study many other languages in the near future.

I lived in Japan and worked for GEOS as an English conversation teacher for a year and a half but unfortunately didn't take advantage of learning much Japanese while I was there.
Now I'm committed to learning Japanese so I can go back and have a more immersed experience in Japan. I am interested in learning conversation as well as reading and writing. Now, I would say I know many words in Japanese, but can't really constuct sentences. My listening ability is much better than my speaking.
I am looking for a teacher who can work with me intensively, a few times a week, for as long as I am in the Baltimore area. I want someone who is both professional and friendly and will push me to do my best and stay focused.
