I am beginning level Japanese (as well as a few other languages). I want to be fluent in Japanese language and very knowledgable in Japanese culture. I am hoping to visit, and move if I like it, within a few years. I am more of a conversationa l learner. I have an 'ear' for languages and learn very easily. I would like to dedicate an hour or so to learning with plenty of homework or things to practice during the day. I would like to learn to write as I speak so that I can have a visual picture of what I'm saying. The quality I look for in a teacher is a native speaker of that language not someone who studied it only. I also like a teacher who is strict and makes sure that my pronunciation is perfect.
