Good evening. I have been reading books on China. One author is Yu Hua. I am currently reading ' Restless Empire' China since 1750 by Odd Arne Westad. A friend recently issued me a challenge to try to learn or do something new this year. I would like to try to learn Chinese. I realize this is will be difficult, but wish to make the attempt. I need private Mandarin Chinese lessons. I advise Chinese investors to do business in Mexico and would like to communicate with them in Chinese. Further, I travel to China frequently and would like not to depend on my Chinese friends to communicate. My native language is Spanish but I am fluent in English.
I am a beginner, although I know a few words from trips, Rosetta Stone and Pimsleur. They are great programs but I need to have a committment/o bligation with a third party to be constant.
I am interested in dedicating one to two hours per week. I am flexible to have the lessons in the morning, afternoon or evening.
I would like a teacher that has business language (tax, legal, finance, etc,)
