I am a beginner in Japanese and study ocassionally on my leisure time. I first began getting interested in the language in my freshman year of high school after a friend introduced me to the music. I want to learn Japanese because I'd like to be able to communicate better with others.
Recently, we had a group of Japanese exchange students in our school, I would have liked to have spoken to them more without being so limited to what little I knew. As for what areas need improvement, pretty much all of them.
I'm willing to dedicate as much time as possible to learning language. I only work on the weekends so it leaves me alot of free time during the week to study and practice.
I want a teacher who is fun and easy going, also a large amount of patience is ideal too because I know I'll be making mistakes and asking tons of questions.

I know simple phrases and words, but have never had lessons.
I wish to learn Japanese to be able to communicate with my grandmother. Also, I shall be studying abroad in college and wish to attend a school in Japan for one year.
I will need a beginner course in all areas of my learning experience and am eager to learn.
I would like to dedicate my after school hours and possibly weekends if need be. I am very determined to master the language.
Wh en taking lessons I want the environment to be relaxing, but not to the point that I shall be tempted to allow my mind to wonder. Hopefully my teacher/tutor will converse with me on subjects we both have in common, to have a sort of friendship.

I am a recent college graduate with a minor in Japanese. I would say I am about at a intermediate level, however my speaking skills need much work. I am better at reading and writing, however I also need to learn more Kanji.
I am learning Japanese to have an advantage within my field of international business and marketing.
I am looking to keep my current language skills fresh and up to date as well as practice speaking the language more fluently and with less hesitation.
I am looking for 2 - 3 hours weekly. I work Monday through Thursday all day long, so I am looking to maybe come out Friday and Saturday mornings.
I am looking for a teacher that forces me to talk Japanese throughout the lesson. I feel I will learn better this way, my college professor was great but very lenient on using English if we were stumped.
