I want to learn the language to broaden my mind. I'm already fluent in English. I grew up in a Polish speaking household. I also took 4 years of German in high school. I have a love of languages, which is why I would like to be fluent/conver sational in 5 languages by the age of 30/32. I also want to travel and/or live abroad.
I' d like to dedicate as much time as I have free to the language.
I would like to learn the language from the ground up: speech, reading, writing. Usage of books/materia ls is plus.
I need a teacher who is patient, funny, and has the ability to create a conducive learning environment.

I am a beginner in Japanese. I don't know much, but I want to learn the Kyoto Dialect rather than the Tokyo Dialect. Which I hear are as almost different languages. I began Tokyo Dialect, but I didn't get very far.
I have always wanted to learn Japanese. I can read Hiragana easily, I can identify certain Katakana with ease and others I would have to think about for a moment and know very limited amounts of Kanji. Because of my former learning, I can speak Japanese better than I can write, but I've been practicing lately and I've made progress! I would be willing to dedicate a lot to my lessons, because I've been wanting to learn for such a long time, I would not skimp out on lessons.
As for my teacher, as I stated, I prefer to learn the Kyoto Dialect, so I would hope that my teacher is able to teach that. But if nobody is able to teach Kyoto Dialect, I would also settle for Tokyo. As long as it's Japanese, I'd be willing to learn it!
