I'm a total Beginner. I do enjoy watching Japanese movie but with sub titles. I only know four japanese words and its very common, nothing speical. I really enjoy the Japanese Culture and that's why I decided to learn japanese. I'm also planning to use it in my career in the future. I will dedicate as much time as needed to learn the language because I absolutely love it. I need a fun and open teacher because I space out if it's not interesting. However, if its something that I catches my attention I will remember every single word. Thank you!

I am a graduate student taking a Japanese language-prof iciency test as a program requirement next semester (starting August 2008). I am of course interested in doing well. Although I have spent one year in Japan as a Junior and have made a daily effort to improve my Japanese, conversation is difficult. There simply are not many opportunities to converse with someone face-to-face in the Japanese language!
Another program requirement is a 'language immersion', which *might* be fulfilled through an intensive tutoring program over the summer.
