I want to learn a foreign language because I believe it will help me in my career, or in any case that I encounter other people who can't speak English. Not only that but I wish to travel to other countries and be able to safely tour the streets without feeling lost or confused. I wish to learn proper grammar and conversation, as well as how to read or write using correct grammar. Since I am starting college again soon, I will dedicate as much days as I can to my language lessons since I am eager to learn. As for my language teacher, I want it to be someone patient and someone who will easily communicate with me as well as give feedback.

I am currently learning Japanese because I enjoy the culture and the language, although that is not the main reason I want to further advance my skills in Japanese. I am now attending College of Southern Nevada getting my associates in Business and international languages. In high school I took three years of Japanese, and in college I have only taken one semester. I would consider my language proficiency level an intermediate level. I do feel that I need more improvement in conversation and also feel that I need to learn more advanced writing skills.
I would like to dedicate at least two to four hours a day or every other day for the language lessons. And the qualities I would like to see in my teacher is patience, and not being rude.
