My daughter and her classmates have been studying Japanese at their school since kindergarten. They will be entering the 6th grade in Fall 2009. The schools they will be attending do not offer the Japanese language. Us parents are interested in finding them a tutor/instruc tor that can help them continue to learn and develop the language.

I am in high school and 15 years of age. I have always wanted to learn Japanese because I want to be an ESL teacher and move to Japan. For many years I have been trying to find some type of tutoring service near my town, but so far I haven't had any luck. My Japanese is definitely at the beginning stages. For about three years I have slowly been using online resources, but I feel that to really learn the language I need an actual teacher. The area where I need great improvement is writing the language, but many other areas need help as well. I will take as long as is needed to learn this language. I am definitely going to take Japanese classes when I am in college, but I feel that learning earlier is better. I would love for my teacher to be patient and just help me in any way that they can with Japanese.
