I am currently in beginner's Japanese but I don't feel as if I am learning properly. I'd love to be proficient with this language so that I can conversate because I really love the language. I consider teaching English in Japan but I am unsure. It is a language that I enjoy speaking and my favorite singers are Japanese. It is the same with Korean. I can spend a certain amount of time depending on the instructor. I would like to be ina class with a small group of people because it seems funner that way. I'd like to have a nice teacher that enjoys what he/she is doing.

I completed three years of course work in Spanish during high school. Much of this has been forgotten, but I intend to learn it all again. I am presently using the Pimsleur program to advance my studies, but find myself needing conversation practice to enhance my working knowledge.
I have completed 2 semesters of course work in Japanese during my college career. I am also using Pimsleur software for Japanese, and again need conversation practice.
Mandarin-Chine se and Arabic I have no experience in at all besides a little dabbling online. I want to learn one of these.
I am interested in these foreign languages for a few reasons. Japanese culture and people have always fascinated me and so it only seemed logical to try and learn the language. I am also applying for a government position upon graduation and a working knowledge of these languages will make me exponentially more competitive.

Greetings,
I am hoping to learn one of these languages, each for a reason of their own.
I want to learn thai because l am, in fact, thai, however l have been living australia from when l was the age of 3, so l missed out on learning the language of my heritage. I visit Thailand every few years, yet find it frustrating that l can only understand the basics, but not speak, read or write it.
I wish to learn japanese because their culture has really interested me from when l was young, and l want to learn their language.
An other reason that l want to learn one of these languages is because this year, and for the next few years, l am trying to complete a Duke of Edinburgh course which requires me to choose a skill task to learn for at least 3 months, 1 hour per week.
I believe l am a fast and diligent learner and will put my best effort into lessons.
T he qualities l am looking for in my lessons and in my teacher is to be able to speak fluently in conversations in the foreign language, to have patience, and to hopefully be able to explain in an easy and understandabl e way. I hope that each lesson will teach me something new and important, so l would be able to use it in later life.
