adverbsAn adverb modifies or describes VERBS, other ADVERBS and ADJECTIVES Adverbs answer the following questions
1- how /how much 2- when 3- where
loudly yesterday here
eagerly frequently inside
badly periodically above
vigorously daily backward
slowly suddenly everywhere
It should be noted that when determining whether a word is an adjective or an adverbs-
look at the word that it describes.
adjectives describe nouns and pronouns.
adverbs describe verbs,asdjectives,other adverbs
ie Tommy is a good dog The word good modifies the noun-adjective
He behaves well The word well midifies the verb-adverb
The three degrees rules which I had explained under the previous lesson of Adjectives applies here too
i.e soon sooner soonest
rapidly more rapidly most rapidly
You may find adverbs that answer different questions about the same verb together in one sentense
i.e Mr Jones danced furiously here yesterday
(how) (where) (when)
